Make sure your iPhone (or Mac) and Apple TV are on the same Wi-Fi network. Then check Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network and confirm QvMote is allowed. On the Apple TV itself, go to Settings › AirPlay and HomeKit › Allow Access and set it to "Everyone on the Same Network."
